rust is the invisible power that makes things happen or break. Trust is always at the top of the list that one should build with customers. Whether customers come to you again or not, if trust is there, they can bring more customers. Once broken, it is very hard to rebuild.

Easy to say, tough to do

Be genuine and simple. Then the customers feel closer to you. The more you hype, the farther they will go. Do not mix a customer buying your product and the trust. There are times when customer has no other option, hence they he/she may buy from you. By not benefiting you, does a customer feel bad? That is a sign of trust.

Try to create trust. Sale will happen later. Right from the eye sight to the words we talk, we can tell whether we build trust or try to sell. It is the sales team that needs to work extra not to sell before creating trust. Brand value alone does not reflect trust levels.

Human touch

Everyone is human. There are emotions all the time. Whether we connect with customers as humans or a transacting company, makes the difference. Great people always make sure that they connect as a human being and not as vendors.

Other than your product, what else is important to customers?

One area you can think of is to look for something other than your offering. It need not be a product or work related. Even a real feedback to the Facebook or Linkedin post by your customer, may help you create trust. Look at how nations build trust with other nations? Is our job as tough as that?

Remove these items to find trust

If you can detach these items from your trust building activities, I can rest assure that trust level will increase.

  1. Money or sale
  2. Obligations
  3. Instant gratitude
  4. Very frequent communications

For a moment, in every meeting, see everyone else as your kids. See everyone else as your teacher. You will start trusting them. First you start trusting. It will get reciprocated, guaranteed.
